I am an artist from Surrey UK.
A selection of my original paintings and prints are for sale in my shop on this site. My Etsy shop lists many more of the gift products that I create from my paintings. My gift products and prints are also available to buy in various gift shops and galleries across Surrey and Hampshire. I also regularly attend Artisan Markets to sell my work directly to the public.
I am also delighted that Green Pebble (publishers of fine art greeting cards) are now listing a selection of my cards for sale to trade and public across the UK and Internationally.
From a very young age I have been passionate about painting and drawing. I used to love looking through picture books as a child and dreamed of being the person who drew the pictures....that passion remains with me to this day.
I studied illustration for 5 years, gaining a HND in wildlife illustration from Dyfed college of art and then a BA Hons in illustration from Plymouth University. I also gained a PGCE in art education.
After spending 18 years bringing up my family, and surviving cancer, I finally returned to working full time as an artist in 2012. I have sold many of my canvases in the UK and overseas. I have exhibited my work at an International Contemporary Art exhibition on the Kings Rd, Chelsea and also at the Reading Contemporary Art Fair and at Surrey Contemporary Art Fair.
Today I turn my art into gift products such as mugs, coasters, greeting cards and hanging plaques. I print and make all the products myself.
I love working in many mediums, but acrylic and pencil remain my favourite. I love creating fun, happy, bright, colourful, work that brings a smile to your face every time you look at it. I enjoy taking inspiration from the everyday things in life...the simple pleasures.......the first time you put your washing on the line in the spring.....a cat sleeping in the flower bed.... I love life and I hope that this shows through in my paintings.
