Boy and girl illustrated names

I've had great fun this week finishing off the first 2 designs in my new range of boys and girls illustrated names. These make great presents for newborns, christenings or birthdays and are all hand painted. I can illustrate them to any current bedroom theme or based around your child's hobbies/interests!!

Love is in the air!!!

I have been having fun this week designing some new valentine cards to add to my range. Available direct from here or at ALBOE in Bagshot and The Pottery Gift House in Frimley. Hope you like them!!

A feathery affair!!

I had great fun working on my latest commission. It was for a 14 year old boy who is mad on all things feathery, particularly eagles and swans. His parents had booked him a day at a wildlife centre and wanted a framed illustration and greeting card to give him to go with his surprise!! I loved drawing the different birds, it brought me right back to my 2 years studying wildlife illustration in Wales!!!

Going Digital!!!

I've been playing with my Christmas pressie today, my new iPad air from my lovely hubby! And have finally succumbed to the new digital age of illustrating. Meet "Frizzy Lizzy" the main character in my first ever children's picture book. The story is all ready to go, so in my free time, when not working on my commissions, I'm now starting to illustrate my new book. I have to eat my words somewhat, as I always swore blind that I would never not use my trusty watercolour box but ... WOW... I love the effects you can obtain using this amazing drawing app for the iPad called Procreate pro ( apologies for the name!) Think I have been converted! More of Frizzy Lizzie and her exploits to follow! :-)

Such a lovely response

I was delighted to get such lovely feedback for my latest commission. It really gives me such a lift to know that they are so well received. I was asked to do a sketch from a lovely photograph of 2 little friends, caught in a magical moment, walking along a path. It was drawn as a gift, as one of the little girls is emigrating and this was a goodbye present!! The feedback I had was just so lovely and really did make my day!
