Neighbourly Natter was inspired by a family holiday to beautiful St Ives in Cornwall. We were staying in a house opposite the houses in the painting and I immediately knew that I would like to feature them in a painting. I decided to add some people in the painting who have stopped to have a natter, as that is what people do in St Ives, it’s such a relaxed and friendly place to visit.

Painted on a deep edged box canvas in acrylics and varnished for protection.
