The Cottage by the Cliff is based on the beautiful cottage by the sea at Port Quinn in Cornwall.

I visited Port Quinn with my family a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with how hidden away and tranquil it was. I imagined what it must be like to stay in the beautiful house on the cliff by the sea and that is how this painting came about.
